Electro producer and DJ Yuksek drops a remix of the track “Brooklyn Baby” by Lana del Rey.
Lana del Rey has always inspired French music producers. She is like a muse to them. Many remixes of the American singer were released over the past several years, the most successful being “Summertime Sadness” by Cedric Gervais, who reached the top of the charts in 2013.
The French Electro DJ/Producer and Partyfine label founder Pierre-Alexandre Busson, aka Yuksek, drops a superb, dancefloor-friendly remix of “Brooklyn Baby”. The track appears on Lana del Rey’s second album, Ultraviolence.
With saxophone, percussions, a leading rhythm and the sensual voice of Lana, Yuksek found the perfect combination of sounds to create the perfect track.
About this remix, Yuksek says:
“I try not to take on too many remixes as my current focus is on writing my new record, but when I received the request from Lana Del Rey I just couldn’t resist – her voice is like silk and I was really vibing the brass too. The song is about 70’s freedom, beat poetry, jazz, weed, love and amphetamines…I’m free… I’m a Brooklyn Baby!”
